  • Angel of Fashion : Fashion on the web official directory : A site that links you to Designers, Alternative Fashion, Fashion Zines, Modeling & Beauty, Something Different, Hall of Fame [some of the first fashion sites on the Net] and many other fashion related sites.


  • Australian Fashion : A site that has many links to other Australian fashion sites. Some links are: Bloom, Cleo, Billabong, Australian Fashion week, Aboriginal design clothing, David Jones, Diana Ferrari, and many, many others.


  • Fashion forecast services : This is one of the only actual fashion forecasting sites, and it's Australian!. Fashion forecast services has been operating since 1991 and is now recognised as the leading source for international reports for colour and trend services to the fashion and associated industries. There is also information on fashion publications from across the world, all that specialise in predicting fashion trends for the future.


  • Fashion Resources: Clothing & Costume History : Provides links to the history of fashion museums, in addition to online collections and other information on costumes and textiles.


  • Fashion index fashion guides : A site that provides many links to other fashion sites such as designers, stores, online magazines and many other sites that would be useful to students interested in fashion.


  • Fashion India : This site is aimed mostly at those involved in the fashion industry in India but there are two features of more general interest: the brief History of Indian Fashion and the Glossary of Indian Fashion. Information on Indian fashion designers, coordinators, models, and photographers is also included.


  • Fashion Windows : A very colourful site that features: Fashion Designers, Wool and Cotton Fashions, Fashion Models, Lingerie, Australian Fashion Awards. Fashion site Contest !!! Fashion Links. Beauty and Fashion, The Australian Photographic Society, The Melbourne Fashion Festival and over 250 fashion links.


  • FashioNZ : FashioNZ offers fashion advice, shopping online, fashion tips, other links, fashion style and interests, designers and labels, model agencies and many other informational links. The main advantage in this site is the links to hundreds of other fashion sites. They include links on beauty, dress, the history of fashion, designers and lots more.


  • Fiber and Fabric Education Program : Illustrates the history of textiles and fabric throughout the ages.


  • First View : collections on-line : A great source for runway pictures of Milan, Paris, London and New York fashion shows. Although a subscription (expensive) is required for the very latest shows, the thousands of free photos of over 175 top designers' collections of make it worth a visit. Site has photographs only, there is no commentary and very little editorial material, but a brief biography is included on some designers.


  • Textile art : A showcase of textile art from the Canberra School of Art Textiles Workshop and the ANU Institute of the Arts Library & Resource Centre. Includes a profile of artists with illustrations of their work and biographical information.


Fashion Designers

  • Giorgio Armani : An informative look at Armani and the clothes he designs, including designs from the latest shows.


  • Armani Exchange : Another Armani site which includes a brief biography, what to expect in the latest collections and store details.


  • Vivian Chan Shaw : An Australian label that specialises in hand loomed women's knitwear includes pictures of her designs and contact details.


  • Fashion Designers : Features a huge listing of hundreds of designers wordwide.


History of Costume

  • Beverley Birks Couture Collection : A site containing a large collection of haute couture, including accessories and 19th-Century fashion prints from The Journal des Dames et des Modes.


  • The Costume Page : costuming resources online : This site contains lists of online reference works, costume books & images online, costume exhibits & images online.


  • The Costume site : A fantastic site for costumes of all era and styles. Also covered is costume design, art, exhibits, museums and images. Many links are included with useful information and facts.


  • The costumer's manifesto : This is an excellent resource for anyone looking up costumes and fashion, as it has an absolutely huge amount of links to sites that cover the purchase of materials, history, accessories and patterns.


  • The History of Costume by Braun & Schneider - c.1861-1880 : A site with images and [English] links to helpful online publications


  • The museum of costume - Bath : An excellent site dedicated to the history of fashion and dress. The site belongs to the Museum of Costume in Bath, UK and has a large amount of information on style through the ages. One of the main features are the 'dress of the year' links that illustrate the style and fashion worn every year since 1961.


  • The Regency Fashion Page : A site that is a great place to start for information and links to Regency fashion.


  • Victorian costume - Australian history : An Australian site discussing the history of the Victorian era and it's influence on the fashion of that period in time.
