These conditions supplement the SWAN TAFE By-Laws, Student Code of Conduct and Computer Use Policy. Use of the Library signifies agreement with this code.
Present a Student ID card or Library Card to borrow. This is an essential security measure.Students are responsible for all the items borrowed on their card. Report lost cards immediately.
Entry and exit is via the library main entrance.
Materials in the Library are protected by security systems. Upon leaving, if the security gate alarm sounds, return to the loans desk. Only items issued to a borrower may be removed from the library premises.
The library staff reserve the right to inspect bags (and other containers) brought into the library.
Consider others when using the Library. Move to a more appropriate area when talking to others.

Food and drinks can damage materials and the rubbish is a health hazard.
Obey the directions of the library staff. Observe and obey the Copyright and other notices displayed. Respond to all evacuation alarms and proceed as instructed by library staff.
A Limited number of Lost may incur a 'sin bin' penalty. Once an item is lost, you will have received 2 reminders, after a further 7 days it will go to Finance to have an invoice raised. After this has happened for a minimum of times, a banned or 'sin bin' penalty may be applied.
Take care of the items borrowed. Damaged items will incur a charge for the repairs; where an item is irreparable the replacement cost will be charged. Any missing components will be charged for.
